media player not saving playlist

When I use media player 11 on both XP (I updated to this version) and in vista, I encountered the problem of WMP11 not saving the playlist even though I have the option saving file and URL in Privacy ticked. The result is every time I use WMP11 there is no playlist whatsoever. I cannot continue from the last song I played previously. Is this a bug of WMP11 or can I do anything about it. Please help.
